Asgari et al. Figure 2. GAMMA architecture development activities. tiated within architectural views during modeling and each view includes a particular set of NATO Architecture Framework Meta Model (NMM) concepts. For example an NAF operational view (NOV), mainly covers operational nodes and describes operational activities, including information elements exchanged between operational activities and nodes. The architectural development is carried out using the inputs derived during the threat identification and risk assessment process. These inputs provided in different formats (Excel tables, Power Point diagrams, etc.) are modeled within the architecture NOVEMBER 2017 repository. The main processes in producing the NAF views using MEGA tool are shown in Figure 2. The other activities considered in developing the architecture consist of configuring the architecture repository for easy search and queries, consistency analysis, and document generations. Consistency and architecture reports are generated automatically and also regenerated after any updates made to the architecture. Using the processes shown in Figure 2, the following NAF views are produced. These selected views are those that meet the architectural objectives in GAMMA. IEEE A&E SYSTEMS MAGAZINE 11
