CONCLUSIONS
To improve the detection of high-speed, highly maneuvering, and
weak targets in an increasingly challenging environment, RSP has
much potential and may improve radar target detection, parameter estimation, etc. without changing system parameters. It may
cope with three related aspects of accurate environment sensing
from echoes, effective resource management for optimization, and
advanced RSP methods. The accurate environment sensing from
echoes will provide some necessary information for RSP to adapt
to the complicated environment, in addition to the information
from auxiliary GPS, GIS, and ADS-B. The effective resource management can optimize the necessary resource for a certain task in
six domains, i.e., power, aperture, time, polarization, frequency,
and waveforms. The most important of the preceding three aspects
is the advanced RSP methods, such as the introduced RFT and
GRFT methods, which can use the preceding optimized resources
to improve radar target detection and parameter estimation in a
complicated environment.
