The heart of Crescents and Crystals is composed of curves that originate from the numerous crescent stitches in the design. These crescent's
curves are woven into an intriguing pattern that also includes walneto and sheaf stitches. Stitched with silks and metallics, Crescents and
Crystals is embellished with 4mm crystals and beads to add depth and
sparkle. This piece is sure to shine as an ornament or framed piece. The
class will discuss thread variations for stitching a second rendering of
Crescents and Crystals.

Amadeus in Silver and Gold

The Amadeus stitch is a favorite canvas work stitch. This course
is a study of counted stitches and couching on Congress cloth.
The Amadeus stitch is stitched in gold braid and the filling
around the Amadeus stitch is a tent stitch worked in pearl cotton. To fill out the piece, there are two bands of braid, couched in
a brick pattern, using a smaller gold braid. Between the two sets
of silver and gold bands are rows of four-way continental. Their
centers are filled with gold beads. Come join the class!
