Tulips-A Study in Rozashi

This beginning piece is a study in rozashi basics. The beautiful rose tulips are exciting
to complete in this ancient form of Japanese needle art. The petals are worked in silk
and a brocade thread, giving the student an introduction to the beautiful silks. The
undulating lines are worked in gold metallic. The background is a light blue silk. The
stitches are basic to rozashi, and are crafted especially for rozashi.
Proficiency Level: All

and beads.

The Grim Ripper

Every stitcher knows the fear of The Grim Ripper. This delightful goblin is sure to become
a cherished Halloween decoration that can be used as an ornament for the spookiest tree
or as a decorated cookie to play the ultimate trick or treat joke on an unsuspecting friend.
Stitched on #18 white canvas, this design combines a number of fun, funky threads and
stitches to create the ultimate spook.
