According to the company, CMC’s PilotView EFB systems are evolving with product configurations ranging from 8.4-inch to 12.1-inch displays. These systems offer a range of features that include charting, electronic documentation, en route real-time weather moving maps, terrain awareness, camera surveillance, and aircraft data monitoring and reporting. CMC’s EFB solution integrates with the ACSS ADS-B sensor technology and SafeRoute applications to deliver airport moving map with ownship position for enhanced situational awareness during airport taxiing. The PilotView EFB also is approved for realtime ACARS messaging over VHF-based and satellite services. In addition, the company announced it has achieved a production milestone with the recent shipment of its 100th third-generation SureSight CMA-2700 Integrated Sensor System for Enhanced Flight Vision System operations to Rockwell Collins Head-up Guidance Systems. Flight Display Systems Flight Display Systems introduced a new Blu-ray player for aircraft inflight entertainment, which includes a front slot loader. According to the company, this feature allows the unit to be mounted in horizontal or vertical

orientation. The product is the newest in the Fly HD line of high-definition products. “Our original Blu-ray player is extremely popular,” said David Gray, president of Flight Display Systems. “This new version builds on that successful foundation and takes it up a notch. We’re sure that the flexibility in mounting options will prove a winner.” The company also introduced a new high-definition Glareshield color camera. According to the company, the camera, when mounted in the cockpit of an aircraft, gives passengers the opportunity to observe taxi, take-off and landing. “Flightview cameras add a new dimension to the flying experience for passengers,” Gray said. Satcom Direct launched Unity, a new mobile sitcom support product that allows avionics technicians to connect to multiple sitcom systems for troubleshooting, diagnostic and configuration management. According to the company, the Unity product kit also is comprised of a selection of terminal adapters and the new Get Satcom mobile application, which can access data from sitcom systems. “Customers and avionics technicians will be very pleased with the Unity product kit and Get Satcom app, as it offers great options for managing sitcom systems,” said Jim Jensen, founder and owner of Satcom Direct. “This new solution allows remote sessions to be shared over 3-G or Wi-Fi networks with Satcom Direct’s support team for real-time support, or log files can be uploaded to Satcom Direct’s cloud-based server.” q
