Pitot Static and Transponder Certification Training Course

AEA Offers More Training Opportunities
The Aircraft Electronics Association plays host to a pair of upcoming training courses at the Dan Derby Center for Professional Development in Lee’s Summit, Mo. On Feb. 10, a Pitot Static and Transponder Certification Training Course will take place, presented by Don Dominguez of Radioman Avionics. Attendees will learn the proper methods for conducting pitot/static and transponder certification testing. This full-day course offers hands-on training, including a regulatory review and an explanation of the proper administrative procedures for completing these critical certifications. It also includes a transponder tune-up course. The contents of this course can be incorporated easily into approved training programs for certified repair stations.

Certified Repair Station Training Course
In addition, a Certified Repair Station Training Course will occur March 5-9. This week-long course is divided into training modules designed for start-up repair stations, as well as mature operations looking to improve their understanding of the regulations, performing internal audits and editing repair station manuals. The modules will be presented by Ric Peri, AEA vice president of government and industry affairs. The course is for current quality managers, technicians, mechanics and repairmen who are involved in the management of a repair station, as well as individuals looking to establish a 14 CFR Part 145 repair station.
