The intelliOutlet line is designed to significantly simplify installation while offering enhanced safety features like built-in ground fault interruption and current limiting, eliminating the need for an external GFI box, relay, indicator light and circuit breaker. Combining all FAA/EASA requirements into one unit, the intelliOutlet features adjustable current limiting and a wide input voltage range, allowing one part number to work for many installations. Meanwhile, EMTEQ’s intelliUSB solution provides a convenient power charging port for portable electronic devices with USB charging, including the latest iPads, and fully complies with Apple’s power specifications.

The intelliUSB includes built-in circuitry for 28-volt DC power, eliminating the need for a cumbersome converter, all in a rugged and cost-effective package. FLIGHT DISPLAY SYSTEMS Flight Display Systems introduced its Select CMS Platinum cabin management system during the AEA Convention. The new system features customizable controls for all cabin information and entertainment needs, according to the company, and uses 75-ohm cable for its connections instead of Cat5 cabling. Powered by user interfaces Flight Display Systems dubbed cabin control modules, Select CMS Platinum manages audio/ video sources, lights, shades and more from anywhere in the aircraft. The company said the system is versatile enough to control any cabin from a six-seat turboprop to a wide-body transport. Select CMS Platinum also requires fewer parts and less cabling thanks to its use of HD-SDI standards direct to LCD monitors instead of converting from HDMI to Cat5 at each device. One switching box is all that’s necessary for both standard and high-definition video. In fact, high-definition video is the Select CMS Platinum’s hallmark, according to the company. The system provides resolutions up to 1080p and also will upscale non-HD content.
