Jenna Kramer joined the AEA team in January 2011.
4.0 grade point average. About her courses, she said, “It’s different than my undergrad. As a public relations major, I never had to take business courses. It’s a lot of hard work, but important information to know in order to expand my knowledge base and skill set.” She expects to earn her degree in January 2014. But, that’s not the end for this highly motivated staffer. “After completing my MBA, I plan to get my pilot’s license,” she said. At the recent AEA International Convention & Trade Show, Kramer worked the registration desk, where she was able to put faces to names and voices she’s heard on the telephone. About that experience, she said, “I have had the opportunity to meet some amazing people in this industry, and it’s always nice to learn more from their experiences.” Like other AEA staff profiles, a list of questions was presented to Kramer to gain some further insight into her views and personality.
What is your happiest childhood memory? What makes it so special? My family has a time share at the Lake of the Ozarks for one week every summer. It gets harder for us to all go the whole week with our busy schedules now, so I truly cherish the time I spent there growing up. The times out on the boat tubing when it seemed as if my dad’s mission in life was to throw my brother and me off the tube as fast as he could; that was always fun. I also enjoyed shopping at the outlet mall with my mom. While the boys went golfing, we shopped. The family week at the lake is so special to me because in 2002, it was the last time I had with my mom. On the way back after a great week, we were in an accident, and she passed away. I try to go to the lake every chance I get, especially for our family week.
