What's a typical
day for you?

What's the corporate
culture at Spirit?

So you have no problem
meeting people.

As with any sales professional,
I am tasked with not only generating sales opportunities, but
researching the market to help
support the business sales strategy. Right now, I am fully engaged
in market research to help identify customer needs and define our
market direction in a constantly
shifting business environment.
What I have found is very
enlightening and will help us not
only meet, but exceed, all customer expectations, which is part
of the Spirit Aeronautics mission.
The beauty of my position and
being a part of Spirit Aeronautics
is that once a customer concern
area has been identified, I have
the ability to help build a plan to
address it without going through
layers of bureaucracy.
I travel and spend time with
our existing customers and
potential new customers. The
goal is to provide a wider exposure for the company and inform
potential clients of our services
and what we can provide for
them, including aircraft management, avionics, parts sales, engineering, aircraft maintenance,
and avionics design and integration. We also want to remind
existing customers that they are
important to us, and we want
them to be a part of shaping our
future.

There are a lot of great people
with sharp and innovative minds
within this organization. It is
amazing because a solution to
any problem rests within the
walls of this organization, which
make the culture not only closeknit but innovative and thoughtful. We believe in doing the right
things for the right reasons, taking stewardship within the community and holding each other
accountable for our demonstrated performance. It is a very positive place to work.

One fun thing about a sales job
is you're always around people.
I'll meet three to five new people
every day who usually know
some of the same people I do.
Aviation is such a small community; you are always surrounded
by friends even when you don't
know someone directly. I've also
never had a hard time with cold
calls. The way I see it, though we
may not know each other yet, it
is most likely we will have a positive relationship soon enough.

What do you do when
you're not working?
I spend most of my time with
my family and friends. I completely enjoy and appreciate the
people I have in my life. On more
of a hobby aspect, I started racing
cars, and that's a very consuming activity. I'm getting my road
racing license in a Mazda Miata,
which is the most cost-effective
way to get this done. I started to
learn to fly, but blew my educational budget on road racing this
year. Some say I have too many
hobbies, and they might be right.
On any given weekend, I could
be sailing, kayaking, fishing, rock
climbing, back packing, mountain
biking or trail running; basically,
anything that gets the heart
pumping and adrenaline flowing.

What do you
see for the future?
Great things. We have a new
leadership team that brings extensive experience in building service
centers, and we have a multitiered business plan in effect,
which is very exciting. We all
joined Spirit Aeronautics because
of Rick Ochs and the unbelievably great company he has built.
For me, I also came for the career
potential and to be part of a
growing organization that still
focuses on the important things.
There are a lot of great people
on the bus, and we're all on the
same page and ready to push this
company to the next level. q
