Hotel Reservations Deadline is Feb. 21
The MGM Grand Hotel & Convention Center in Las Vegas, Nev., will serve as the headquarters
hotel for the AEA Convention. To guarantee the special AEA room rate of $140 per night, make
your reservation directly with the hotel no later than Feb. 21. The MGM Grand Hotel will provide
a one-time, $75 credit toward restaurants, shops or shows at the MGM Grand. Plus, your special
AEA room rate includes free Wi-Fi in your hotel room, restaurants, casino, pools and lobby. And
through special negotiations by the AEA, the hotel is waiving the daily resort fee of $20.

Lowell Gaylor Memorial Golf Tournament, March 24
The AEA’s 32nd Lowell Gaylor Memorial Golf Tournament will take place on Sunday,
March 24, at the Desert Pines Golf Club in Las Vegas, Nev. The event is open to all AEA
Convention attendees and benefits the AEA Educational Foundation, which provides
academic scholarships to students seeking a career in the aircraft electronics and
aviation maintenance industry.
The best of Vegas golf, Desert Pines was recognized as one of
the best upscale courses in the country by Golf Digest and was
selected as the host course by The Golf Channel for the very
popular “Big Break II.”
The first 144 participants will be guaranteed a slot in the
tournament. The advance registration fee of $85 includes
green fees, cart, pre-round range balls, breakfast treats and
snacks during the awards ceremony – plus a $10 donation
to the tournament founder’s memorial scholarship fund. This
tournament utilizes a shotgun format with a scramble-type
play and scoring system.
The deadline for a guaranteed slot at the rate of $85
per player is Feb. 22. No refunds or cancellations allowed
after Feb. 22. The registration rate after Feb. 22 is $125
per player.
