Peregrine
PEREGRINE received an AML STC for the Trig Avionics
TT22 transponder in conjunction with the FreeFlight Systems
1201 GPS/WAAS Sensor.
According to the company, it has helped to ensure that
many more general aviation aircraft owners can install a
fully certified ADS-B Out solution today, for full compliance
tomorrow.
Peregrine managed all aspects of this certification, including
installation and flight-test of the chosen aircraft; a Pitts S2-C.
Having limited space, the Pitts proved to be an excellent
candidate aircraft for the world’s smallest Mode S transponder,
the TT22 and the lightweight FreeFlight 1201.
Peregrine continues adding and expanding aircraft makes
and models to this STC under its approved model qualification
process and anticipates additional approvals in the coming
weeks.
This approval comes shortly after Peregrine received the
world’s first 1090ES ADS-B Out STC for Part 23 aircraft
on May 10, 2012, when it successfully integrated, installed
and tested the Trig Avionics TT31 paired with the FreeFlight
Systems 1201.
Peregrine’s team, in collaboration with Trig and the FAA,

have since expanded this AML STC to include not only
multiple aircraft models, but also extended GPS choice by
including the Accord Technologies NexNav Mini as a certified
position source on this STC.
