Elliott Aviation
ELLIOTT AVIATION announced the promotion of GREG
SAHR to president. In his new role, Sahr will focus on strength-

ening the Elliott Aviation brand, enhancing the customer experience, increasing efficiencies, solidifying industry partnerships
and developing new business opportunities. He was previously
vice president of sales, marketing and business development.
Sahr’s more than 18 years of experience started as an avionics
installer at ElectroSonics, where he was quickly
promoted to lead installer supporting avionics
installations on a variety of aircraft throughout
the U.S. Shortly after Garret Aviation (GE)
purchased ElectroSonics, he was appointed
site leader of the Columbus, Ohio, location.
During this time with Garret, he led several
successful programs, including a U.S. and
European dealer Citation RVSM kit program, as well as oversight
and responsibility for installation teams worldwide.
Moving into avionics and maintenance sales during the
eventual purchase of Garrett by the Carlyle group and rebrand
to Landmark Aviation, Sahr was then promoted and relocated

to Dallas to run the central U.S. sales team, which, within 18
months, became the top team in the country.
When Landmark was purchased by StandardAero (Dubai
Aerospace Enterprises), he took on both the central and western
U.S. territories and again led the top performing sales teams in
the company.
Sahr joined Elliott Aviation in February 2011. During
his time at Elliott Aviation, he rebuilt and
restructured the tech sales and marketing
team, increasing maintenance, repair and
overhaul sales. This included nearly doubling
Hawker sales, solidifying Elliott’s status of
the only independent Hawker authorized
service center east of the Rocky Mountains. In
addition, he has overseen the sales launches
of Elliott’s accessory and landing gear overhaul shop,
aftermarket avionics program and led sales for the company’s
industry-leading Garmin G1000 King Air retrofit program.

DAC International
DAC INTERNATIONAL, a Greenwich AeroGroup company, announced the Federal Aviation Administration has
granted parts manufacturer approval for the company’s
GDC64 tablet aircraft
interface unit.
The GDC64 developed
by DAC International
feeds aircraft data to an
iPad without additional Wi-Fi devices. This unique interface product routes live data from aircraft sensors and
systems to an iPad enabling a wide range of incremental
functionality for the flight crew. Simply plug an iPad into
conveniently located connectors in the cockpit to get data
and power to keep the iPad fully charged during flight.

In addition to the PMA approval, Apple has certified the
GDC64 hardware and the GDC64 iOS app, which is making its debut on the iTunes store.
“This will allow operators
to now have access to a data
library for use in a variety of
apps as they become more
available,” said FRANCISCO HERNANDEZ, general manager of DAC International. “In addition, the installer can
now download the GDC64 app directly from iTunes to
allow users to setup and configure ARINC 429 data for
their installation.”
