GARMIN announced the Tecnam
P2008JC equipped with its G3X has
received EASA certification for CSVLA day and night VFR operation.
According to the company, the
G3X is the first non-TSO authorized
electronic flight display to support
CS-VLA night certification, which
requires
additional
scrutiny
over standard CS-VLA VFR day
certification standards.
The Tecnam P2008JC is a typecertified CS-VLA aircraft, which
offers seating for two people.

After the deadly impact of Typhoon Haiyan that struck the Philippine islands,
MISSION AVIATION FELLOWSHIP announced it is working with New Tribes
Mission to deliver food, clean water and other critical aid to remote island
communities in desperate need.
MAF's experienced disaster response personnel is on-site to assist the NTM
crew with logistics. The team is focusing its efforts on small, isolated islands that
no one else is assisting. Together, they have established an air bridge to transport
relief supplies to the island of Cuyo. The team is working with the Philippine Red
Cross and conducting survey flights to identify isolated areas in need of assistance.
