ELLIOTT AVIATION announced its FAA STC approval for the activation
and use of all Gogo Business Aviation Wi-Fi products in King Air 200, 300
and 350 aircraft. According to the company, this includes the ATG 2000
and ST 4300, as well as the ATG 5000, ATG 4000 and the Aviator 200 and
300/350 and Gogo Vision with the UCS 5000 media server. The STC allows
airplane activation for all Wi-Fi standards, including A, B, G and N.
In addition to Wi-Fi connectivity, the STC allows operation of Gogo
Business Aviation's all-in-one cabin entertainment system, Gogo Vision.
"King Air operators have been looking for affordable WI-Fi alternatives,"
said MARK WILKEN, director of avionics sales at Elliott Aviation. "This
STC gives King Air operators very cost-effective options for full connectivity
in flight."
In addition to King Air, Elliott Aviation also is an authorized service center
for Hawker, Phenom 100/300, Beechjet/Hawker 400XP, Premier, Baron and
Bonanza. It is a Part 145 repair station for Challenger 601, Lear 45, TBM
and multiple Citation airframes.

FreeFlight Systems
FREEFLIGHT SYSTEMS made several announcements at EAA AirVenture.
In addition to the FAA granting TSO approval to the company's RANGR
FDL-978-RX ADS-B receiver with optional built-in WAAS GPS, the company
announced that DAHER-SOCATA has selected FreeFlight Systems' RA-4500
radar altimeter system as a factory standard for the TBM 900 very fast singleengine turboprop. According to the company, the RA-4500 integrates with the
TBM 900's cockpit displays to add precise AGL information at critical low-altitude
phases of flight to the aircraft's robust set of safety and performance features.
FreeFlight Systems also said that New United Goderich Inc. of Huron Park,
Ontario, received FAA STC approval for an ADS-B Out solution in Embraer
135LR and 145LR aircraft integrating the FreeFlight Systems 1203C GPS/
SBAS system.
In addition, the company announced the availability of its Model 1201
WAAS GPS sensor as an optional approved ADS-B high-integrity position
source integrated with a certified Mode S transponder to provide a 1090 MHz
extended squitter ADS-B Out solution for American Legend Aircraft Company's
Legend Cub.

According to the company,
the Digital to Analog Converter
is approved to design assurance
level A. This solid-state product is
the link between a system which
provides pitch, roll, heading and
other critical signals to existing
aircraft equipment, including pilot
and co-pilot primary flight displays,
the autopilot and other onboard
systems.
The
Airborne
Data
Link
Processor is approved to design
assurance level C. This product
gathers signals in a myriad of
formats from existing aircraft
systems, and then translates it
into a single format understood by
the aircraft's existing transponder,
thereby providing it all the data
necessary for Enhanced Mode S
and ADS-B operation in European
airspace.
The third approval is for the
ARINC-to-NMEA 183 Converter,
which is approved to design
assurance level D. This product
delivers GPS location information
to the aircraft's emergency locator
transmitter.
