expanded to include a full SMT line and all associated components,

award for outstanding contributions to

opened engineering offices in Tempe, Ariz., and Paris,
France, respectively.
"We've grown significantly over the last several years,
focusing on positioning the company around avionics
and developing innovative next-generation solutions to
take to market," said Grindberg, who also is responsible
for directing, organizing and executing aerospace sales
objectives, developing volume and revenue growth
plans, and forecasting. "This strategy has led to our
incredible growth, increasing revenue by more than 212
percent and our number of employees by more than 128
percent, during the last three years."
Recently, the company expanded beyond the aviation
market.
"Many of Appareo's people come from an agriculture
background, both personally and professionally,"
Grindberg said. "Because of this experience and
passion, we've received a number of requests from the
agriculture industry to bring our aerospace innovations
and technology to bear on long-standing problems that

face farmers around the world. Appareo's developments
in agriculture bring increased efficiency, decreased
waste and improved yields that result in more profitable
operations."
Today, Appareo Systems employs more than 120
people in engineering, manufacturing and administration.
It is still family owned and operated with founder Barry
Batcheller serving as chairman and chief executive
officer, and his son, David Batcheller, serving as president
and chief operating officer. When discussing Appareo
Systems' incredible growth, Grindberg is quick to credit
the company's experienced and talented employees.
"Appareo is built on the strengths of its people, who
