MID-CANADA

PACIFIC AVIONICS moved offices on Dec. 10 to gain additional space.
Previously, the company operated in two separate facilities, and the avionics
workshop was isolated from the rest of the organization.
The new facility allows the company to control its own hangar space and makes
it easier for customers and staff to communicate more effectively. Pacific Avionics
currently has 16 employees.
It is located at the Bankstown Airport near Sydney, Australia.

is working in cooperation with AEA
member company Esterline CMC
Electronics on a new flight management
system upgrade for the Airbus A310
aircraft fleet.
According to the company, the joint
development efforts have been taking
place for several years and has resulted
in a supplemental type certificate
modification that brings life extension to
the Airbus aircraft model.
The replacement solution developed
between the two companies includes
a new interface and full functionality for
vertical navigation guidance and control.

PS ENGINEERING promoted GARY
PICOU as executive vice president.

A member of the AEA's board of
directors, Picou is a
15-year employee
of PS Engineering
and most recently
served as vice
president of quality
systems.
Picou joined
the company in
Gary Picou
1998, as a result
of working as a consultant to help the
company better connect with its avionics
dealers.
