Landmark Aviation
LANDMARK AVIATION began
operations at King County International
Airport on Boeing Field in Seattle, Wash.,
Feb. 12, through the acquisition of Galvin
Flying Services.
"The acquisition of Galvin expands our
footprint into the Northwest," stated DAN
BUCARO, president and CEO. "We are
looking forward to being a part of the King
County general aviation community, and
building a lasting partnership with the airport
authority."
According to the company, Landmark
is operating out of the former Galvin
Flying Services facility located at 7149
Perimeter Road and provides both FBO
and charter services. The location offers
a VIP lounge, flight planning center,
executive conference room, and customs
and immigration clearance.

Mid-Continent Instruments and Avionics
The Federal Aviation Administration granted a Part 23 AML (approved
model list) STC (supplemental type certificate) for the MD302 SAM (standy
attitude module) from MID-CONTINENT INSTRUMENTS AND AVIONICS.
According to the company, the AML STC joins a growing list of existing
Part 23, 25 and 27 STCs, ranging from single-engine pistons to advanced
twin turboprops, light business jets and rotorcraft.
"Supplemental type certificates can help service centers when completing
an installation on a field-approval basis," said TOM GENOVESE, director
of sales for Mid-Continent Instruments and Avionics. "The straight-forward
STC installation instructions may reduce the need for engineering, ultimately
making the process easier and reducing cost for the aircraft operator, and it
complements our existing TSO certification."
