Vector Aerospace Helicopter ServicesNorth America, a subsidiary of VECTOR
AEROSPACE, completed the successful
delivery of a fully refurbished AS332L-1
helicopter to Rainier Heli-Lift Inc.
Vector Aerospace was recently provided
with the unique opportunity to restore an
AS332L-1 Super Puma, which had been
damaged during the tsunami that hit Japan
in 2011. Rainier Heli-Lift Inc. purchased
the aircraft shortly after the incident, and
decided to restore it to service by having
Vector Aerospace perform a complete
overhaul on the aircraft.
"Access to the unique Super Puma
market has greatly improved our ability to
react quickly to customer requirements,"
stated ELVIS MONIZ, vice president
of operations at the Vector Aerospace
facility in Langley, British Columbia,
Canada. "Vector has positioned itself in
the Super Puma market as a center of
excellence for MRO activities in a short
amount of time, having processed major
inspections on nine Super Pumas this
past year."

announced the addition of an FAA
STC for its glass-cockpit upgrade to
the Eurocopter EC-120 helicopter. The
STC was granted under FAA Project
No. ST07457NY-R.
The heart of this mod is the
Garmin G500H flight display system
with helicopter synthetic vision, an
altitude heading reference system and
air data. Also included is the Garmin
GDL-69/69A XM Weather DataLink,
an Avidyne TAS-605 traffic awareness
system, and a Honeywell KRA-405B
radar altimeter system.
According to BARRY AYLWARD,
president of KAAV, "The addition of this
FAA STC has been eagerly anticipated
by KAAV, Garmin and EC-120 operators
worldwide. The increased safety and
reliability offered by the G500H is an
attractive and worthwhile mod to EC
120 owners and operators all over the
world. Thanks to the efforts of the FAA,
we can now get started on bringing this
upgrade into their cockpits."

Nextant Aerospace
NEXTANT AEROSPACE, maker of the Nextant 400XTi - the
world's only remanufactured business jet - and the forthcoming
G90XT turboprop, recently announced it placed the first 400XTi
on the register of the Australian government's Civil Aviation Safety
Authority.
According to Nextant Aerospace, the registration reflects the
considerable potential the company sees from the Australian

markets for both VIP and special missions aircraft applications.
The CASA-registered 400XTi is a quick-change air ambulance
application that can be converted from VIP to air ambulance in less
than 45 minutes. Later this year, the company expects to launch
a dedicated 400XTi air ambulance with a high-utility interior,
maximizing cabin volume and mission flexibility.
