GENESYS AEROSYSTEMS said that Airbus Defence & Space selected the
S-TEC 5000 digital autopilot for installation in the NC212i light transport aircraft.
The NC212i is an updated version of the C212 aircraft that will be jointly developed and manufactured by Airbus Defence & Space and PT Dirgantara Indonesia.
According to the company, Genesys Aerosystems expects to deliver more than
100 of the 3-axis configurable autopilot systems during the next 10 years.
Designed for high-performance turbine-engine aircraft, S-TEC 5000 functionality includes heading and nav hold, altitude pre-select, course intercept,
indicated airspeed hold, vertical speed hold, and GPSS and control wheel
steering and 3-axis trim. A straight and level recovery function provides
added safety, especially for aircraft often flown in challenging conditions.
In the NC212i, the S-TEC 5000 will integrate with an EFIS to display altitude preselect, heading and altitude bug controls, autopilot annunciations
and flight director commands.
The S-TEC 5000 will be certified to DO-178 Level A and DO-160 performance and environmental standards applicable to the NC212i and other military, special-mission and multi-use transport aircraft. Airbus Defence & Space
plans to complete certification of the S-TEC 5000 in the NC212i in early 2016.

LCD display is a form, fit and functional
replacement for legacy CRT units.
According to the company, the CMA6800 LCD Display offers significant
improvements in reliability and readability. With this retrofit solution, there is minimal kit and downtime required, thereby
ensuring a quick conversion. The CMA6800 has hardware built-in provisions for
growth for additional display capability,
both through an internal central processing unit and additional interfaces.

Satcom Direct
SATCOM DIRECT entered into a dealership

agreement with EMTEQ, soon to be B/E Aerospace, that
enables customers to choose EMTEQ's eConnect Suite
of Solutions from Satcom Direct's product portfolio.
According to the company, the Satcom Direct router
provides secure, global connectivity for executive
and head-of-state aircraft enabling telephone
communications, video streaming and Internet access.

The eConnect Suite of Solutions' options include Cabin
Control by eConnect and Wireless IFE by eConnect.
With the integration of the SDR and these options
from the eConnect Suite of Solutions, passengers can
wirelessly stream media to their personal device or cabin
