Five Rings Aerospace
FIVE RINGS AEROSPACE expanded its regional base and created new capabilities. It obtained engineering approval authority from the Papua New Guinea Civil
Aviation Safety Authority, adding to a similar level of authority from the Civil Aviation
Authority of Singapore. These approvals complement the existing Australian (CASA)
Part 21 design approval authority.
According to the company, the additional capability expands its aerospace engineering, design and modification approval services throughout the Southeast Asia region.
The company is based in Melbourne with offices in Sydney and Brisbane. Five
Rings provides aeronautical design, analysis and certification for structures, mechanical and avionics systems for both fixed- and rotary-wing aircraft. It also provides
weight control services.

Alto Aviation
ALTO AVIATION expanded its Florida-based research and development facility
by increasing its space 50 percent.
According to the company, the new space was added to support the ongoing and
planned growth of the company's research and new product development departments.
The expanded facility houses an improved testing lab further supporting in-house
DO-160 testing and TSO certification testing. An aircraft cabin mockup is in place for
use in advanced acoustic research. The facility also will house an electrical RF screen
room to be used for EMC evaluation and certification testing on new product designs.
In addition, the company appointed STEVE SCARLATA vice president of
research and development.

Jupiter Avionics
JUPITER AVIONICS said that Grob Aircraft selected the

Jupiter Avionics JA37-001 Aural Message Generator for
installation in the G120TP training aircraft.
According to the company, the JA37-001 is a dual
channel alerting system that provides digital storage and
playback for up to three messages. A proprietary Windowsbased application is used to load message files and other
configuration parameters into the JA37-001 via a 3.5 mm
jack. Programming can be carried out without removing the

unit from the aircraft. Message files may be selected from
a library of standard warning tones available on the Jupiter
Avionics website or alternatively customized .wav files
may be created. Messages may be prioritized and played
sequentially.
The G120TP is a turbine powered, fully aerobatic training
aircraft and the JA37-001 has been installed to provide auxiliary warning messages for stall-tone.
