To take a stock TBM-700 and upgrade to glass with touchscreen and RVSM capabilities. What date was the project started? June 25, 2014 What date was the project completed? Aug. 25, 2014 What makes this installation unique? It was our second TBM-700 with dual G600s, but this time we replaced the radar, traffic system and radar altimeter to make this package almost completely Garmin with the exception of the autopilot and DME. Did you encounter any problems while working on the project? It was a challenge to ensure we had enough ARINC 429 and RS232 ports to interface all the equipment. How did you resolve the problems? These challenges were overcome with proper planning and continued tech support from Garmin. Did you learn anything from the project? We learned a great deal about Garmin's new radar, traffic system and ADS-B solutions. The installation experience will help us a great deal in future installs. What was the customer's response?
