Boush said. "But we're excited about being able to communicate and interact with

broaden our product lines, and offer smart
solutions that work really well."
Preparing for the future
As technology shifts customer demand,
Flame adapts its parts purchasing by analyzing the industry from a bird's eye view.
"Our customer base is huge," Boush
said. "The amount of customers we
have and the number of markets they
cross is significant. It gives us a really
good view of what's happening in the
industry, and what types of products to
buy. And that lends itself to consistency
over the long haul.
"Back in the 1990s, virtually every
installation included lighted switches.
With flat panel displays, the requirement
for lighted switches and lighted indicators is not what it was, which has led to
a tremendous change on the component
side of that type of product. Today, we're
seeing a lot more entertainment systems in
the cabin, so power distribution and power
switching are popular. That's very different than 15 to 20 years ago."
Flame retains its commitment to its
core competency even as it develops
broader, value-added solutions for customers, according to Boush.
"We stock product; it's what we do," he
said. "Providing access to product, managing the purchasing needs of customers,
competitive pricing and flexibility - all of
that remains the same. But we have a lot
of new things rolling out the second half
of this year. When you see us at AEA's
International Convention and Trade Show
in 2016, we'll be quite a bit different from
a product standpoint and an interactive
standpoint. Everything we've been doing
the last couple of years has been preparing
us to go through another phase of growth.
We have to pull all of the elements
together for that growth; we have to be
ready for it." q
