smartphones. Additionally, the company's Service First customer support app is now available for Android devices. The
app provides direct access to the company's customer support,
sales and marketing resources, allowing business aircraft users
to search company marketing bulletins by aircraft type and submit a technical support request, for example. The new release
joins a similar iOS app.

Sandia Aerospace
Sandia Aerospace introduced its new Sentinel STX-360, an
ADS-B Out solution equipped with a 978 UAT transceiver and
Mode C transponder. It's available in two basic configurations:
a self-contained panel-mounted box and a remote-mounted
device with a control head for the instrument panel. The panel-
mounted version features only
two knobs and two buttons plus a
display on which ADS-B In's traffic and weather information may
be displayed. By combining Mode
C and 978 UAT into one box, pilots
have only a single location to enter a squawk code.
The remote-mounted version of the STX-360 comes with the
same basic features - Mode C and a 978 UAT transceiver - and
is intended for installation with Sandia's control head. It also
may be used with compatible displays from other manufacturers. Both versions of the Sentinel STX-360 offer a wireless
gateway for integrating ADS-B In's traffic and weather data
into a portable device, like an iPad. Sandia said the new ADS-B
solutions comply with various TSOs and other standards,
including those for universal access transmitters, Mode A/C
transponders and airborne displays.
Easy installation is part of the STX-360's design, according to the company. The panel-mounted version is designed to
fit standard-width avionics stacks while the remote-mounted
version requires only a one-half 3ATI location, providing an
