of Columbus Technical Institute with an associate degree in applied
science and holds an FAA A&P license with his inspection authorization
endorsement.
In addition, the company named REID ANTONACCHIO regional sales
manager for the North American north central region. His territory includes
Indiana, Michigan, Illinois, Wisconsin, Minnesota, Iowa and Missouri.

TRUE BLUE POWER, a division of Mid-Continent Instrument Co. Inc.,
filed documentation with the FAA to secure an STC for the company's TB44
(46 amp hour) Advanced Lithium-ion Battery on all Cessna 208 and 208B
Caravan aircraft, with anticipated completion in the fourth quarter of 2015.
The TB44 is a replacement for the sealed
lead-acid and nickel cadmium main
ship batteries currently used
on Caravans.
True Blue Power is the
first company to achieve
FAA TSO and EASA ETSO
certification for lithium-ion
main ship batteries. The
TB44 is TSO C179a and
EASA ETSO certified, RTCA
DO-311 and DO-160G
qualified.

ASTRONICS introduced a
lightweight, low-priced enhanced
vision system designed for the
general aviation, kit builder and
experimental aircraft markets.
According to the company, the
Max-Viz 1200X, which is priced
below $6,000, enhances aircraft
safety by enabling pilots to see up
to 10 times farther than unaided
human vision in visibility-obscured
conditions, such as smoke, haze
and light fog whether during the day
or even at night. The Max-Viz 1200X
has a 320-by-240 pixel resolution
and is compliant with RTCA/
DO160G environmental qualification
test standards.
