Agape Avionics utilizes
unique strategies for
customer communication

W

ith a plan in mind, Michael Wolfe
and Jack Haraburda formed Agape
Aerospace Group in September 2014,
and then purchased Penn Avionics located at Brandywine
Airport in West Chester, Pennsylvania. West Chester
is located about 34 miles west of Philadelphia, and the
Paoli Amtrak station is nearby to give visitors access to
the city without dealing with the Philadelphia traffic.
The new owners renamed the facility Agape Avionics
& Maintenance and began a significant amount of work
to improve the facility. Located just east of the main
terminal building, the hangar and responsibilities are now
divided into thirds to improve work flow. One section is
for maintenance, the second is for service, and the third
is for avionics installations.
Penn Avionics had previously suffered partly due to
absentee ownership. However, an important strategy for
Agape Avionics is to have the owners frequently on-site
and actively involved in the operation of the business.
This involvement began with major work on the facility.
For example, Agape Avionics upgraded the lighting in

its 10,000-square-foot hangar. In addition, it upgraded
the technology, purchased FOD preventative equipment,
and upgraded the parts room to be lot controlled and
secure. For the customers, Agape Avionics upgraded the
1,000-square-foot pilot's lounge into a three-room suite

containing a full shower, laundry facility, business office,
kitchenette and entertainment area.
The company provides a full array of maintenance
services for single, multiengine, turboprop fixed-wing
aircraft and rotorcraft. In addition to the usual services,
Agape Avionics offers restoration and detailing.
