compliant, providing future-proofing of SATCOM
technology selections and changes by aircraft operators.
The new system eliminates costly over-engineered
SATCOM installations, simplifies aircraft maintenance
inspections and reduces system life-cycle costs.
Astronics also announced that its newest Enhanced
Vision System, the Max-Viz 1400, has been installed on
five Beechcraft King Air aircraft for the South Eastern
Section of the Royal Flying Doctor Service of Australia.

suited to the Royal Flying Doctor Service's mission to
provide life-saving emergency evacuations and health
care services day and night in obscured visibility

Avionica and flight data
monitoring and analysis provider
Ergoss of France were selected by
Jet Aviation Flight Services as the
company's preferred global provider
for flight operational quality
assurance data services.
Jet Aviation Flight Services, a
subsidiary of General Dynamics,
will recommend FOQA and flight
data management to its customers
using Avionica's flight data
monitoring products and satellite products throughout
Europe, the Middle East, Asia and the Americas. In
addition, Avionica will perform annual flight data
recorder readouts for the Jet Aviation Flight Services
global fleet.
Ergoss provides an FOQA FDM cloud-based product
allowing its users to access data from anywhere,
including personal electronic devices. For customers
using Avionica's turnkey avSYNC FOQA solution, the
flight crew would be able to access the data within 30
minutes after shutdown.
Avionica also announced an agreement for Constant
Aviation to be the first dealer and installation center of
all Avionica products, including flight data management
services, flight operational quality assurance data, and
Safety Certified SATCOM products in the business
aviation segment.

Astronics

Astronics Corp. introduced its new VVIP aircraft
connectivity system components. The AeroShield low
drag radome and revolutionary composite adapter plate
technology combination provides significant benefits to
VVIP aircraft operators installing connectivity systems
to include reduced drag, simplified installations and
lower weight.
According to the company, the AeroShield radome is
designed with a highly-optimized aerodynamic shape
that reduces aerodynamic drag for improving fuelburn savings and provides bird-strike hardness to meet
stringent FAA safety requirements. The composite
adapter plate design simplifies and standardizes
installations while reducing weight by 78 percent over
traditional metal designs. The new adapter plate delivers
commonality and interchangeability across entire
fleets, making for easy de-modification for end-of-lease
restoration.
