In addition, IS&S said that its Air Data and Heading
Reference System replaces DG/VGs, AHRS and air
data computers in a single, compact, lightweight
unit. Coupled with the IS&S Beta-3 GPS receiver, it
can provide INS grade performance to 25-foot 3-D
positional accuracy. The IS&S ADAHRS outputs in
digital and analog in format aircraft attitude, heading,
altitude and air speed to interface with existing
autopilot and display systems at a fraction of the cost of
comparable AHRS alone.

L-3 Aviation Products and Thomas Global Systems
signed an alliance agreement to cooperate in the
development of certain CRT-to-LCD display upgrade
products that eliminate CRT-related maintenance costs,
downtime and obsolescence issues, while providing a
cost-effective growth path for cockpit upgrades.
"L-3 is delighted to be working with Thomas
Global, leveraging its CRT-to-LCD display conversion
technology and growing commercial market presence,"
said Stuart Mullan, president of L-3 Aviation Products.
"This agreement builds on our recent award from
ATR to provide an LCD display upgrade for its 42/72
aircraft. The ATR program is a springboard for CRT-toLCD upgrades on other aircraft platforms."
Angus Hutchinson, CEO of Thomas Global, added,

experience of both Thomas and L-3, and builds on
the launch of Thomas' TFD-8601 display, which is
designed to replace legacy CRT primary flight displays

In a move to address the growing demand for
abundant, easy-to-load onboard entertainment and
information, Rockwell Collins introduced Stage content
service - an airworthy, subscription-based media
streaming solution for corporate and private aircraft.
According to the company, Stage is a total content
delivery solution from Rockwell Collins that enables up
to 70 passengers to stream media, including Hollywood
digital rights management-protected movies and TV
shows, to their personal devices from an easy-torefresh, robust onboard server through wireless access
points. Content is selected by flight departments from
an intuitive, frequently updated cloud-based media
catalog. The selected content can then be loaded on
the aircraft server in a variety of ways, including both
physical and wireless.
