compliance, and retrofit updates and troubleshooting. GTN database updating
procedures and database synchronization, current and future updates to
the Dealer Resource Center and the use of GTS troubleshooting software to
include the diagnostics and asset logs tool.

selection. Technical updates - get the latest updates and information on Trig
software and product news.

BACK TO BASICS: Determining Major/Minor
The installation of avionics is a modification to an aircraft. Every repair station
installing avionics must understand the principles and concepts of evaluating
an alteration in order to determine the appropriate regulatory data approval
criterion. This session will review the regulations, guidance and policy
regarding evaluating an alteration. In addition, each attendee will receive a
regulatory checklist for evaluating an alteration.

choose to list their capabilities on their operations specification and
others choose to maintain an "FAA-acceptable" capability list. This
session will provide the repair station with the tools to develop and
maintain an efficient capability list.

Managing Contract Maintenance

Managing contract maintenance is a major hurdle for repair stations.
The concept and management of contract maintenance has changed
multiple times since the original rulemaking in 2001. This regulatory
session will focus on the regulations and guidance on repair station
management of contract maintenance.
