ROCKWELL COLLINS received a supplemental
type certificate from the FAA for its Pro Line Fusion
avionics upgrade for King Air 350 turboprops originally
delivered with Pro Line II avionics. According to
the company, the STC was achieved as part of a
collaborative effort with Landmark Aviation WinstonSalem and BHE & Associates, and is available now
through Rockwell Collins authorized dealers.
Rockwell Collins' Pro Line Fusion upgrade for
King Air 350 turboprops provides compliance with
airspace modernization deadlines and transforms
the flying experience with some of the largest
widescreen primary flight displays available. The
upgrade enhances the aircraft's value with the same
icon-based, touch-screen technology found on newproduction King Airs.
"This upgrade immediately readies the aircraft for
the future with simple airspace mandate compliance
and essential capabilities for NextGen flying," said

PRO STAR AVIATION received Transport Canada
Civil Aviation approval for FAA STC ST00347BO -
Upgrade of BendixKing CAS 67A TCAS II Change 7.0
System to CAS 67B TCAS II Change 7.1.
According to the company, the STC's AML list covers
various makes and models of business and corporate aircraft, including Bombardier, Cessna and Learjet. The STC
authorizes the exchange or upgrade of the two processor
versions needed for compliance of MOPS Change 7.1 that
was issued by the European Aviation Safety Administration
on Dec. 16, 2011, in response to the growing number of
mid-air encounters that took place between 2000 and 2010.

In other news...
Pro Star Aviation completed its first FANS 1/A upgrade
of a Bombardier Challenger 604 aircraft. According to
the company, this installation took two weeks and was
accomplished in conjunction with a 12/24 month inspection. The STC used covers the installation of the new
Rockwell Collins CMU-1000 Datalink and the TrueNorth
Iridium SATCOM along with the upgrade of the L-3
Communications Cockpit Voice Recorder.
The FANS 1/A upgrade will allow the Challenger operator
to comply with the impending mandate for ADS-C and CPDLC
services required for operating in the North Atlantic remote
oceanic airspace as well as other remote regions worldwide.
