COOL CITY AVIONICS made some

JET AVIATION ST. LOUIS said the industry's first three installations

recent changes to its management team.
JEFFREY KELLY was named chairman, president and chief executive
officer. Kelly has been president of Kelly
Aerospace since 2002, and will retain
that position as well as his new position
with Cool City Avionics. Kelly has an
MBA from the University of Alabama and
has more than 20 years of experience in
the aviation manufacturing businesses
owned by Kelly Aerospace. He has been
involved in 39 company sales and acquisitions. Kelly is an instrument-rated pilot
and flies his own turboprop aircraft.
JAMES IRWIN, a co-founder of
Cool City Avionics, was promoted to
chief technical officer and will direct all
engineering and certification programs.
Irwin also is a member of the board of
directors. He is a helicopter and fixedwing CFI with more than 10,000 flight
hours and is a Vietnam veteran. Irwin
was a founder of S-Tec Corp., manufacturers of fixed-wing autopilots.
RICK MILBURN has filled the role of
vice president of sales and marketing.
Also a member of the board of directors, he has a long history in the avionics sales industry as well as aircraft
sales. He owns Milburn & Associates
Inc., an aircraft brokerage and consulting company. Prior to that, he spent
22 years as vice president/partner of
JA Air Center/JA Aero Inc., a large
Chicago-based sales and service center and aircraft sales dealership.

of Future Aircraft Navigation Systems in Bombardier Challenger 604s by
the company are complete, and three more are scheduled. The installations are possible after Jet Aviation St. Louis received FAA approval for a
supplemental type certificate.
Jet Aviation St. Louis teamed with Rockwell Collins to develop the STC
for the Challenger 604 FANS 1/A aftermarket solution. It includes the
Automatic Dependent Surveillance-Contract and Controller Pilot Data Link
Communication, which reduces pilot workload and enhances the clarity
and accuracy of pilot communications with air navigation service providers
in oceanic and remote airspace worldwide.

Duncan Aviation
DUNCAN AVIATION completed an industry-first Controller Pilot Data

Link Communications/Future Air Navigation System 1/A+ installation.
According to the company, the supplemental type certificate was recently
issued by the FAA and covers the Challenger 601. The installation features
the upgraded NZ-2000 Honeywell Flight Management System, which
integrates with current Challenger 601 OEM flight decks.

DAC International
DAC INTERNATIONAL, a Greenwich AeroGroup company, announced
that its latest Analog-Digital converter model GDC62 has been used as part of
a European Aviation Safety Agency supplemental type certificate.
According to the company, the GDC62 accepts analog inputs from various
radio altimeter models and converts the signal to ARINC 429 format that is
compatible with currently available TCAS II digital processors. The GDC62
eliminates the need to replace analog radio altimeters when digital-only
TCAS receivers are installed.
DAC International's GDC62 was part of an STC issued by the EASA and developed by TAG Aviation in Geneva, Switzerland. It is applicable to the Dassault Falcon
MF900/900EX models seeking to comply with TCAS II Change 7.1 requirements.
