Flightstar Corp.
FLIGHTSTAR CORP. announced the expansion of its facility as the company
breaks ground on a new aircraft hangar. According to the company, the state-ofthe-art 31,000-square-foot airline maintenance hangar is expected to be completed
by late fall of 2016.
Equipped with a 135-foot wide by 34-foot tall Mega Door System, this facility utilizes radiant floor heat, overhead circulation fans, and LED lighting to create optimal
working conditions during maintenance operations. Nested between existing hangars,
the new facility allows for unobstructed access with an adjoining 21,000-square-foot
hangar. The existing hangar retains its once 140-foot wide exterior doors, creating an
optional segregation of space allowing for the control of heat, noise and/or wind. The
now combined facility will boast more than 52,000 square feet of total floor space,
bringing Flightstar's total hangar square footage to more than 112,000.

Flightstar Corp. opened its doors on an expanded 4,300-square-foot interior
fabrication shop. This shop, attached to its main maintenance, repair and overhaul hangar, was constructed exclusively to handle the current and future needs
for interior fabrication. The new interior shop includes an array of new specializing tooling, a sanding bay, and a 380-square-foot paint booth. This new paint
booth offers the ability of interior and exterior finishing work and the flexibility of
working on multiple components simultaneously up to 20 feet in length.
