FreeFlight Systems
FREEFLIGHT SYSTEMS secured a letter of authoriza-

tion to equip the existing Flight Design USA fleet with the
company's certified RANGR ADS-B system.
FreeFlight Systems and Flight Design USA worked
together to design an installation package that will provide complete ADS-B compliance for the 400-plus Flight
Design USA aircraft that are currently flying in the U.S.
"We chose the FreeFlight RANGR as it is a complete
line of capable and affordable options for owners of Flight
Design's existing aircraft," said JOHN HURST, CT avionics expert. "Aircraft owners will have peace of mind flying
with FreeFlight's RANGR, as the company is the pioneer in
ADS- B solutions."
The installation package includes FreeFlight Systems'
certified RANGR Transmitter Lite ADS-B Out system, and
will include all the necessary components required for
installation. For those customers who want to fly with the
benefits of ADS-B In, FreeFlight's RANGR Transceiver Lite
ADS-B In/Out system is available as an optional upgrade.
FreeFlight Systems' RANGR product line consists of fullyfeatured, TSO-certified ADS-B solutions that accommodate
a wide variety of customer needs.

Power's Voyager Power Source. The Voyager is designed
to start aircraft engines and provide auxiliary power.
On a single charge, a Voyager provides 10 or more
turbine engine starts, powers onboard electronics for an
hour, or provides a combination of auxiliary power and
starting power, according to the company. Voyager's
useful life is approximately 10 years or 2,000 charge
cycles, and self-discharge is less than 3 percent per
month.

offers both rotorcraft and fixed-wing aircraft operators a

BECKER AVIONICS GMBH named FORREST
COLLIVER managing director.

Colliver will be responsible for leading corporate
strategy for evolution and growth of the Becker Avionics
Group, and for operational management activities related
to the supply of avionics and ground-based solutions
supporting next-generation airspace modernization
programs. He most recently served as vice president of
business development for the Becker Avionics Group.
Colliver previously served as program manager for
aviation research at the MITRE Corp. in Washington,
D.C. Colliver has also led sales, marketing and business
development teams at Thales Aerospace in Toulouse,
France, at Saab-Sensis, and at EMS Technologies
Satcom Division, now part of Honeywell Aerospace.
