"The aircraft's AC electric power just wouldn't work with our BoomBeam HID lighting," he said. "We had to come up with a new ballast arrangement and a voltage converter to power the light system. Now we have a rocksolid taxi and landing light system that greatly improves lighting performance while adding reliability." LoPresti Aviation sells the majority of its lighting systems to business aircraft operators through repair stations and full-service FBOs. Sales to the government market are increasing. "Our strongest market is the business jet segment," LoPresti said. "With our recent release of products for Falcon and Challenger aircraft, we are expecting exponential growth." q
