conflict, Avionik Straubing's LPV/VNAVConverter extracts the
ARINC 429 and DME data from the stream and fits ARINC labels into the EFIS system's information. With the LPV/VNAV
Converter, the FMS then simulates an approach signal like an
ILS to drive the autopilot during a GPS approach with LNAV/
LPV capability.
Inputs to the LPV/VNAV Converter using the ARINC 429
protocol include VOR/ILS and GPS from FMS, plus DME (both
ARINC 429 and BendixKing serial bus). Various annunciator
and test values also are accommodated. Output includes
ARINC_ILS_OUT and ARINC_GPS_OUT to the EFIS system,
plus ARINC 429 and BendixKing serial bus DME data, and a
remote failure indicator.
Avionik Straubing also offers its MFI02/LPV annunciator
display, which can be used anywhere and is designed for customized annunciator applications as a stand-alone unit without the LPV/VNAV Converter. The MFI02/LPV incorporates an
ARINC 429-to-discrete-signal converter into the display.

BendixKing
At the 2014 AEA Convention, BendixKing unveiled the
AeroWave 100, its in-flight internet solution. The company
targeted smaller aircraft as the AeroWave 100's market, from
piston twins, to turboprops and light jets. Using the system,
passengers can send and receive email and attachments,
browse the Web,
and access cloud
services and other

AeroWave is a SwiftBroadband satellite-based system
providing background IP services up to 104 Kbps and emphasizing low-cost acquisition, installation and rate plans. The
system provides in-flight internet connectivity for operational
needs like weather services and flight planning tools, and
provides passengers with the capability to email, browse simple websites and more, plus make and receive high-quality
voice calls.
For 2016, BendixKing's two new Wi-Fi routers offer a data-

only or data-plus-voice configuration capable of connecting
wirelessly to as many as 12 devices. The routers include inputs allowing either the Wi-Fi capability or the router itself to
be disabled from the cockpit, and they feature a web-based
configuration utility. The new dedicated voice plan allows
connection to up to three handsets or smartphones running appropriate apps. The voice system is compatible with
TrueNorth handsets. BendixKing also is offering a new active,
low-gain antenna, which the company said allows for easier
installation and configuration, plus lighter weight and a reduced parts count.
Standard data plans for the AeroWave 100 start at $40 per
hour - eliminating unexpected charges, the company said -
while the voice plan is priced at $1.46 per minute. Thanks to
the new antenna and routers, an installed system can be up
to 4 pounds lighter. A forthcoming STC/AML approval basis
will further ease installation.

According to the company, the BA-440 provides a DO-260Bcompliant interface between the Honeywell GNSSU HG2021GDXX/CMC CMA-3024/5024 and Collins TDR-94D transponder on appropriate aircraft. The product is STC'd aboard
various models of Dassault and Bombardier business jets and
provides full ADS-B system monitoring, including both on-side
and off-side GPS receivers, transponders, related control panels and itself. It offers mode status, integrity, missing or off,
health and failure annunciations through a simple "compliant" or "non-compliant" architecture. It can be used in single
or dual installations for low-cost dispatch reliability.
