type certificate, which authorizes owners of select Cessnas and Pipers to replace their vacuum-driven attitude
indicators with a Dynon EFIS-D10A (or EFIS-D100), by
referring to the organization's first STC. Earned in 1982,
it brings auto fuel into engines from a Continental A-40

The motivation behind both STCs is the same, to make
flying more accessible, affordable and safer. For the past
two years, the EAA has been charting a path through the
Federal Aviation Administration's regulatory system that
brings technology proven by the experimental, amateurbuilt aircraft community to the owners of type certificated aircraft. And it did it without changing the rules,
which would have taken much longer than two years.
