ASPEN AVIONICS received a supplemental type certificate to interface its Evolution primary and multifunction
displays with the Garmin GTX 345 all-in-one transponder.
According to Aspen, installing the GTX 345 with an
Aspen EFD1000 primary flight display will allow aircraft
owners to take advantage of viewing ADS-B weather
and traffic information directly in their line of sight; greatly
enhancing flight safety by reducing pilot scan resulting in an
overall improvement in situational awareness.
"We anticipated certification for the GTX 345 transponder
integration with Aspen's displays prior to the end of 2016,
and have delivered on that commitment," said MARK FERRARI, vice president of sales and customer support at Aspen
Avionics. "This is especially timely when ADS-B compliance
is top of mind for aircraft owners looking for more options
that provide value-added weather and advanced traffic information at a price that is affordable."

DAC International
DAC INTERNATIONAL received an STC for the Esterline
CMA-6800 Display for the Sikorsky S76B/C Helicopter. The
STC includes the S76C+ and S76C++ models.
"The product provides many benefits as a form fit function replacement for the Honeywell ED-800 product line."
said CISCO HERNANDEZ, DAC International president.
"We believe the CMA-6800 offers our customers a simple
replacement solution for the aging ED-800s on many of the
S76 platforms worldwide. This will save substantial weight,
thus reducing operating costs and further extending the life
of their existing cockpits."
According to the company, the CMA-6800 Electronic
Display System was designed to replace the aging
Honeywell ED-800 Cathode Ray Tube displays. DAC said
it expects to have EASA and ANAC approvals soon.
