PRO STAR AVIATION received FAA approval

for STC ST00373BO, installation of Rockwell
Collins TDR-94D Transponders with ADS-B Out.
In partnership with Rockwell Collins, Pro Star
Aviation designed an STC to address ADS-B compliance for the vast number of aircraft equipped
with BendixKing MST-67A transponders associated
with the BendixKing CAS-67A or B TCAS II system.
According to the company, the design of the
STC utilizes a pair of Rockwell Collins TDR-94D
units that fit in the same location as the MST-67A
units. The existing wiring, antennas and the controller can be retained. In its new configuration,
the TCAS system is both manufacturer tested and
STC approved to be fully compliant using the new
transponders.

Garmin
GARMIN announced European Aviation Safety Agency
approval of its G5 electronic flight instrument for installation in
select certified fixed-wing general aviation aircraft in Europe.
According to Garmin, the G5 electronic flight instrument
boasts enhanced safety benefits over failure-prone, mechanical gyro-driven instruments as a stand-alone primary source
of aircraft attitude or turn coordination information. Installation
approval is accomplished via supplemental type certificate with
a comprehensive approved model list containing hundreds of
individual aircraft models.

Elliott Aviation
ELLIOTT AVIATION recently named KERRY OLSON
as project manager, CASEY RITZ as regional sales manager and CINDY STEPANSKI as airframe parts sales
specialist.
Olson will be in charge of day-to-day customer contact
for major MRO projects at Elliott Aviation's headquarters in
Moline, Illinois.
Stepanski will be responsible for growing Elliott Aviation's

airframe parts selection for better customer pricing.
Ritz will be responsible for selling Elliott's MRO services
to customers in the East region.
In addition, the company completed its 10th retrofit of
a Garmin G5000 in a Beechjet 400A/Hawker 400XP and
second full 400E interior retrofit. The installation was completed in a 1998 Beechjet 400A.
