Compliant with ICAO SARPs - SATCOM voice
guidance material, FAA AC 20-150B and qualified to
DO-160G, DO-178 level D and DO-262B MOPS, the
SkyNode S200-012 includes auxiliary GPS output from
its internal fast-fix, 20-channel WAAS GPS receiver.
Automated event-based reporting (i.e., weight-on-wheels
and out/off/on/in messaging) is supported, as well as data
logging and event triggers from external switches/buttons
and system bus sources. Protocols like FTP, UDP, TCP/IP,
SMS messaging, email and fax are supported.
The company said the SkyNode S200-012 was designed
with versatility in mind, and optional features operators
may require can be added at any time. Certification via
FAA, TCCA and EASA STCs is available for more than
900 different helicopters and fixed-wing aircraft. Power
requirements are 12-34v DC, with a nominal 0.5-amp
current draw at 28v DC; 0.8 maximum amperage while
transmitting. Serial data ports are available, plus Bluetooth/
Wi-Fi connectivity with personal devices.

LoPresti Aviation
LoPresti Aviation is a family business founded in 1991
by Roy LoPresti, the former Grumman engineer who
helped NASA design the Apollo program's lunar lander.
Later, he applied his talents and experience to an aerodynamic cleanup of the Mooney M20F, resulting in the mid1970s debut of the Mooney M20J, more commonly known
as the Mooney 201.
Today, the company holds PMA and STCs for many
airframe modifications across multiple brands, and also
manufactures PMA replacement parts. LoPresti's core competencies are in landing and taxi light installations - "we
turn the night into day" is a motto - and aircraft performance improvement, and it holds more than 400 STCs for
aircraft landing and taxi light installations. At the 2017
AEA Convention, Curt LoPresti briefed attendees on the
latest developments from the company's engineering and
manufacturing of next-generation high-intensity discharge
lighting systems, which the company dubs the BoomBeam.
New for 2017 is an STC for replacing two traditional
landing lights aboard the Cessna Citation Latitude with up
to six HID units, which Curt LoPresti labeled a "big deal
in the airplane," and also is available for the Cessna Model

750 Citation X. The company manufactures complete kits
for multiple Part 23, Part 25 and Part 27 aircraft, replacing
older technology incandescent lamps and poorly performing LED lights. Approving authorities include the FAA,
EASA and ANAC, among others.

Mid-Continent Instruments and Avionics
Mid-Continent Instruments and Avionics began operations in 1964, as a small repair station in Wichita, Kansas.
Since then, it's grown into an industry leader in the
overhaul/exchange, repair, design and manufacturing of
aircraft instruments and avionics. David Copeland, director of sales, introduced the latest products from its True
Blue Power division: the TC230 DC-to-DC converter, the
TI1204 DC-to-AC inverter and new AC outlets.
The TC230 DC-to-DC step-up converter is designed to
convert an aircraft's 10-18v input to accommodate 28-v
instruments and avionics, including radios, GPS, and
electronic equipment. The converter's output is 230 watts,
making it an ideal solution for operators needing to install
8.33 kHz radios into 14v aircraft in response to European
requirements effective Jan. 1, 2018. According to True
Blue Power, the TC230 is the smallest and lightest 230watt step-up converter in aviation. The unit's fanless design
helps reduce weight and offers operators great flexibility in
installation. The unit incorporates input transient, overload,
short circuit, temperature monitoring and reverse polarity
protections.
