ROCKWELL COLLINS announced that an upgrade to the
company's Pro Line Fusion integrated avionics for the Cessna
Citation CJ3 business jet has been certified by the Federal
Aviation Administration. The upgrade is available throughout
the U.S. from Duncan Aviation's three main full-service facilities
and several of its 26 avionics satellite and workaway locations,
and Textron Aviation's 12 company-owned service centers.
According to Rockwell Collins, the upgrade for the CJ3 provides compliance with airspace modernization deadlines and
transforms the flying experience with widescreen displays,
high-resolution synthetic vision and touchscreen navigation.
So far, more than 20 customers have secured their upgrade in
order to be equipped with ADS-B by the 2020 deadline. The
first installation was completed by Duncan Aviation.
"The clock is ticking to get aircraft equipped for airspace

modernization deadlines and this all-in-one alternative brings
turn-key compliance for CJ3 operators with a modern interface and feature set found on new aircraft," said CRAIG
OLSON, vice president and general manager, Business and
Regional Systems for Rockwell Collins. "Pilots will fall in
love with this new flight deck after seeing how it makes the
most complicated tasks simple, and the additional situational
awareness it brings."
Pro Line Fusion for the CJ3 replaces the factory-installed
portrait displays with three larger 14.1-inch landscape touchscreen flight displays. Rockwell Collins is currently working
with Transport Canada for type certification validation of the
Pro Line Fusion upgrade for the CJ3 and will soon be working on validation with the European Aviation Safety Agency.

Pro Star Aviation and Universal Avionics Systems Corp.
PRO STAR AVIATION and UNIVERAL AVIONICS SYSTEMS CORP. jointly announced that Pro Star
Aviation received FAA approval for the amendment to STC
ST00158BO, which adds upgraded single or dual Universal
Avionics Flight Management Systems for Satellite-Based
Augmentation System-capability. The newly amended STC
applies to Cessna Citations; 550, 550 Bravo, 560, 560XL
and 560XLS series aircraft.
The certified installation includes either Universal Avionics
single UNS-1Espw FMS and LP/LPV Monitor, or dual UNS1Lw FMSs; both with the company's latest software version,
SCN 1001.X.
"To complement this STC, Pro Star has two AML STCs
available for purchase which utilize Universal Avionics SBASFMS and Rockwell Collins TDR-94(D) Mode S Transponder,
which together provide equipage requirements to meet the
upcoming FAA ADS-B Out mandate," said ROBERT RANDALL, U.S. senior sales manager for Universal Avionics.

SCN 1001.X is Universal's latest FMS software version.
In addition to enhanced ADS-B Out functionality, it offers
upgrades from previous software versions; improved user
interface, upgraded comm radio tuning, improved lateral
guidance/steering, upgraded precision approach and nonprecision approach performance, as well as newly revised
maintenance and configuration sections.
"This new software offers the latest operational upgrade to
one of the most successful and well-liked stand-alone FMSs
in the business aircraft marketplace," said JEFFREY SHAW,
