AVIDYNE received Agência Nacional De Aviação Civil-Brasil (ANAC)
validation of the new IFD550 FMS/GPS/NAV/COM with Attitude Reference
System. This certification also includes approval of Release 10.2 software,
which the company said provides a host of new features including Synthetic
Vision and two-way wireless connectivity with Avidyne's new IFD100
iPad App. Avidyne also received
ANAC approval for the new, IFD545,
IFD510 and IFD410 FMS/GPS systems.

approval of our new flagship IFD550
with ARS, which provides pilots with
our unique Synthetic Vision and

ACR Artex
ACR ARTEX launched the ARTEX TPS 8715, a specially designed test and

programmer set for the general aviation market.
According to the company, the ARTEX TPS 8715 will
program, test and decode ARTEX 406 MHz emergency
locator transmitter models: the ME406, ELT 1000 and
ELT 345.
The kit includes a programmer with rechargeable
battery and antenna, GA programming cable,
quick start guide with access codes to online
training and software installation,
holster and SD card.

SOLUTIONS unveiled the newly

designed KV920 Aircraft Lighting
Systems Lab trainer at the
Aircraft Electronics Association
international headquarters in May.
According to the company, the
KV920 is a versatile trainer that
can be used in a wide range of
subjects from introducing basic
electrical circuits through advance
troubleshooting, including using a
multimeter to test voltage, resistance
and current. The KV920 uses bright
LEDs to depict the exterior lighting
circuits of an aircraft allowing
students to learn how to wire, test
and troubleshoot common series
and parallel electrical circuits. The
fault panel on the rear of the trainer
allows instructors to induce an open
or a short in any of the lighting
circuits helping students learn and
understand key troubleshooting
principals.
"The versatility of the KV920
trainer makes it ideal for summer
camps, aviation maintenance
schools and advanced avionics
