SATCOM DIRECT bolstered its senior executive team with the addition of KEITH SHELBURN and JOHN KUMMER in two new roles.
Shelburn was named vice president of aviation,
and Kummer was named vice president of
strategy and programs.
Both Shelburn and Kummer were former
Keith Shelburn
clients of SD. Shelburn will be responsible
for managing SD's flight department, which
also serves as the test bed for all new SD
products and services. Kummer will oversee
commercial strategy and new program development with the customer in mind.
Prior to joining SD, both Shelburn and
Kummer served as directors of aviation for
John Kummer
Fortune 100 companies, which gives them
perspective into the needs and expectations of SD customers,

DAC International & Latitude Technologies
DAC INTERNATIONAL signed a distribution agreement with fellow AEA member company LATITUDE TECHNOLOGIES to promote
and sell its products.
Latitude Technologies Corp. is an aerospace engineering and manufacturing company providing flight data monitoring, flight following,
and satellite communications equipment and services.
According to the company, Latitude avionics are TSO-approved for
FANS 1/A+ data link, safety services SATVOICE and provide global
connectivity supporting controller pilot data link and automatic dependent surveillance contract. These systems can help operators reduce
costs, enhance flight deck communications and achieve relief for HF
with certified long range communication satcom solutions.
In addition, DAC International announced that its GDC31 Roll
Steering Converter received EASA approval.

REBTECH and Kuerzi Avionics
Fellow AEA member companies REBTECH
and KUERZI AVIONICS announced a new
partnership. Kuerzi Avionics of Lommis,
Switzerland, will perform night vision filter
implementation and aircraft installations for
REBTECH in Europe.
According to REBTECH President RICHARD
BORKOWSKI, "This agreement allows us to
provide our customers with the same highquality NVIS modifications in Europe that we
provide in the U.S. and Canada without having
to ship components and equipment across the
Atlantic. It will also allow us to decrease lead
times and eliminate shipping issues of delicate
instruments. We had to find a company who
most importantly possesses the same quality
technical skills as our personnel in Bedford,
and also has the same commitment and focus
on customer service and support as we have.
After evaluating several companies in Europe
as potential partners to perform this type of
work for us, Kuerzi Avionics was a clear choice
given that the company encompasses all of
the skills, tools and interest we sought in a
partner."

NVG STCs, we have the engineering and
certification capabilities to offer night vision
