Duncan Aviation
DUNCAN AVIATION completed its

second supplemental type certificate for
the Gogo AVANCE L5 system. Designed
for the Dassault Falcon 2000 and variants
of the airframe, this STC covers the Wi-Fi
certification and full equipment and antenna
installation required to provide in-flight
connectivity to the Gogo Biz 4G network.
Joining the already completed Gogo
AVANCE L5 STC for the Gulfstream GIV /
GIVSP, the completion of the F2000 STC is
another of several being completed by Duncan
Aviation. These STCs cover Wi-Fi certification
and full equipment and antenna installation.
Other models currently in certification include
the Falcon 900 series, Challenger 600
series and the Challenger 300 series. Other
platforms are also being evaluated by Duncan
Aviation.

BOB TOOKER , a sales representative for
Duncan Aviation's parts and rotables sales
and a longtime aircraft technician with the
company, was recently honored as a recipient
of the Charles Taylor Master Mechanic Award.
The Nebraska Aviation Mechanics
Seminar committee and the Federal Aviation
Administration presented the awards at a
banquet Jan. 26 in Kearney, Nebraska.
The Charles Taylor Master Mechanic
Award is named in honor of Charles Taylor,
the first aviation mechanic in powered
flight. Taylor served as the Wright brothers'
mechanic and is credited with designing and
building the engine for their first successful
aircraft. The award recognizes the lifetime
accomplishments of senior mechanics.

Avidyne and Duncan Aviation
AVIDYNE extended its repair service agreement with

fellow AEA member company DUNCAN AVIATION of
Lincoln, Nebraska, to include Avidyne's EX600 Multifunction Display. In addition to the EX600 MFD, Duncan
Aviation had recently added the Avidyne MHD300 and
ATD150 Traffic displays, and is also the exclusive provider
of repair services for Avidyne's 5-RR-, FlightMax-, and
EX500-Series Multi-Function Displays.
"Duncan Aviation has a proven record of providing a
world-class support services, and we are confident in its
ability to take on support and repair services for our fleet
of EX600 customers," said ROGER MITCHELL, Avidyne's
vice president of operations.
"Duncan Aviation is excited to add Avidyne's EX600
multifunction displays to our growing list of service
capabilities," said KEVIN MIESBACH, new business
development manager for Duncan Aviation. "We have a
strong track record supporting Avidyne's legacy MFDs
which has earned us the opportunity to add these new
product lines, and we look forward to providing our same
high-level support for the EX600."
Under the terms of this agreement, Duncan Aviation will
be the world-wide repair center for Avidyne's EX600 MFD.
Since 2010, Duncan Aviation has provided similar repair
and support services for Avidyne's legacy display products
including the 5-RR FSD, and the FlightMax 440, 450,
640, 650, 700, 740, 750, 800, 850 and 950 model MFDs.
In 2014, it added Avidyne's EX500 MFD repair support,
and in late 2017, added Avidyne's MHD300 Multi-Hazard
Display and ATD150 ½ 3-ATI Traffic displays.
