Western Aircraft
WESTERN AIRCRAFT hired one new

person and promoted two others as part of its
ongoing investment in avionics and turboprop
support.
DON WEST was promoted from avionics
lead to avionics sales account manager supporting Western's MRO sales and marketing
team. A native of Delaware, he joined Western
Aircraft in 2000 as an avionics technician. He
was subsequently promoted several times,
culminating in his most recent role as avionics lead. He also currently serves in the Idaho
Air National Guard as an integrated avionics
comm/nav mission systems craftsman.
West has an Associate of Applied Science in
avionics technology from the Community College
of the Air Force and holds a Federal Aviation
Administration avionics repairman certificate.
PAUL HARRINGTON joins Western
Aircraft serving as an avionics team lead.
Harrington has spent the last 20 years with
Jet Aviation in St. Louis, most recently serving as its Challenger team avionics lead, and
prior to that served as an aircraft electrician
in the United States Army. He holds a Federal
Communications Commission General
Radiotelephone Operator License.
JEFF WATSON was promoted to turbo
prop service manager. He is a veteran of
the U.S. Navy serving for four years as an
F-18 aircraft hydraulic mechanic. Watson is a
licensed airframe and powerplant mechanic
and a graduate of Idaho State University. He
has served in various roles within Western
Aircraft's maintenance department for more
than 11 years, most recently as the company's jet team lead.

DAC International
DAC INTERNATIONAL added DANIEL BOEN as a regional

sales manager.
He joins the team with nearly 20 years of experience in sales,
marketing and account management. He previously served as
senior account manager for Matrix Aviation/Professional Aviation
Associates. He also previously served with Rockwell Collins, working
both in the repair facility and aftermarket division of Intertrade.
Boen will handle sales responsibilities for the Western United
States and Western Canada.

DAC International received the new AS9120B certification based
on the ISO 9001:2015 standards.
The AS9120B standard quality management systems
certification builds on the ISO 9001:2015 certification with
additional requirements that are specific to aviation, space and
defense distributors. The AS9120B certification now meets the new
requirements above and beyond those specified in the previous
revision AS9120A, which addresses risk-based thinking, concept
of change, organizational knowledge, product safety, counterfeit
parts prevention, awareness and obsolescence.
The company also signed a new distribution agreement with
Teledyne Controls to promote and sell selected Teledyne products
to the regional and business aviation markets.

Garmin
GARMIN received two Supplier of the Year awards at the annu-

al 2017 Embraer Suppliers Conference, which took place recently
at Embraer's facility in São José dos Campos, Brazil.
Garmin was recognized as Supplier of the Year in two categories: Technical Support to Operators and Electric & Electronics
Systems. These awards join seven Supplier of the Year awards
previously presented to Garmin in various categories related to the
support of the G1000 Prodigy and G3000 Prodigy Touch integrated
flight decks in the Phenom 100 and Phenom 300, respectively.
