LATITUDE TECHNOLOGIES received EASA STC on Bombardier's

ACR ELECTRONICS confirmed that Drew
Marine UK Holdings Ltd. has acquired Flight
Data Systems Pty. Ltd., a provider of flight
data recorders, ground support equipment,
and electronics manufacturing for the global
aviation industry. Flight Data Systems will
report into ACR Electronics Inc., a Drew
Marine operating unit.
According to the company, the acquisition of Flight Data Systems represents
the latest addition to ACR Electronics'
growing portfolio of aviation brands,
which include ARTEX Emergency Locator
Transmitters and SKYTRAC, a flight data
and communications technology leader.
The new unified affiliation between three
of the industry's leading companies
will enable ACR Electronics to offer an
enhanced product line and service offering for the aviation marketplace.
Headquartered in Melbourne, Australia,
with locations in the United Kingdom
and United States, Flight Data Systems
designs and manufactures a range of
airborne and ground support equipment,
including its newly-launched Sentry
Cockpit Voice and Flight Data Recorder.

Dash-8 model aircraft for all Latitude SkyNode SATCOM models,
including the latest Safety Services Voice TSO'd S200-012 ATS system.
According to the company, the STC also supports the
installation of the IONode Flight Data Monitoring
system, which is capable of providing fully
automated data gathering and distribution,
real-time alerting for flight operations and
maintenance quality assurance including fuel
management programs.

Latitude Technologies announced that
Gulfstream Aerospace Corp. in Savannah, Georgia, has finalized STC
certification of the Latitude DL150 Satellite Data Unit for Gulfstream
G450 and G550 series aircraft. Supporting CPDLC/ADS-C/ACARS satellite data link services, the DL150 is a TSO-C159b approved communications link enabling Future Air Navigation Systems (FANS 1/A+).

Dallas Avionics
DALLAS AVIONICS is now taking pre-orders on the soon-tobe-certified uAvionix skyBeacon, which is the first in a series of
uAvionix's ADS-B solutions for the certified aircraft market. The
skyBeacon offers wingtip-mounted ADS-B Out with WAAS GPS and
LED position and anticollision strobe lights that meet the requirements
of the FAA's 2020 ADS-B mandate when paired with an existing Mode
C transponder.
"The skyBeacon offers owners of light aircraft a cost effective,
ADS-B solution that is easy to install and also provides nice LED
navigation and anticollision lighting as a value add," said SCOTT
EDWARDS, Dallas Avionics sales representative.
The skyBeacon works with any existing Mode C transponder,
according to the company. Installation time is expected to be less than
15 minutes instead of hours for competitive solutions.
