GENESYS AEROSYSTEMS earned FAA supplemental type
certificate approval of the S-TEC 3100 on the Cessna 177,
and will begin shipping this month.
Already certified on the Cessna 210, Cessna 182 and
Beechcraft Bonanza A35/36 models, the S-TEC 3100
2-axis digital autopilot (3-axis available on some models)
brings enhanced features such as automatic trim, envelope
protection and alerting, one button straight and level recovery, indicated airspeed hold and altitude preselect (requires
baro input) and many others, according to the company.
Understanding the need to be flexible in the mixed cockpit
aftermarket, the 3100 also supports many third-party EFIS
displays and has its own internal ADHRS should an EFIS
not be installed.

Garmin
GARMIN introduced the G3000H, an IFR-capable integrated
flight deck specifically designed for Part 27 turbine helicopters.
According to the company, the forward-fit G3000H offers
a number of features, including WAAS/SBAS, ILS approach
capability, VFR and IFR helicopter charts and Connext wireless integration. It's also equipped for ADS-B In/Out, offers
visual approach guidance and an HSI map. The G3000H
touchscreen interface boasts in-flight features and benefits
that reduce pilot workload.
"The G3000H blends a superior feature set and safety-minded technology into a contemporary platform for the VFR/IFR
turbine helicopter market," said CARL WOLF, vice president of
aviation marketing and sales. "With the G3000H, we're excited
to bring IFR capabilities in an advanced integrated flight deck
and further expand our product offering so our partners have
even more options within this class of helicopters."
In addition, Garmin received European Aviation Safety
Agency approval of the G5000 integrated flight deck for the
Beechjet 400A and Hawker 400XP aircraft.

Universal Avionics Systems Corp.
UNIVERSAL AVIONICS SYSTEMS CORP. made
several announcements during the European Business
Aviation Convention & Exhibition in late May.
*	 The company is continuing to see a strong interest in
SBAS-FMS upgrades as NextGen and SESAR initiatives ramp up. Universal Avionics saw a 40 percent
growth in SBAS-FMS upgrades from the first quarter to
the fourth quarter of 2017.
*	 AIEC Switzerland's program to install a Universal
Avionics AHS-525 Attitude Heading Reference
System on at least two Learjet 35 aircraft is now
underway. The engineering firm will perform the
installation and EASA/FAA STC at the operator's
base in North Germany.
*	 Universal Avionics announced FAA and EASA
sign-off for authorized dealer, Chicago Jet Group's
amendment of its AML STC to include the ATN B1
Module for the UniLink UL-800/801 Communications
Management Unit.
