representatives and a management organization that understands the workforce and industry environment while having an eye on the future - these are all elements that the AEA does very well. Why did you want to serve on the board? I wanted to offer my experience to the board and support the membership to ensure a strong future for all within the industry. What does being on the AEA board of directors mean to you? Being a board member means a lot to me. I'm in a position to listen and work with other board members on the challenges and opportunities that face our industry. In addition, it means that I have a responsibility to our members to make sure they are heard, and be their conduit to the AEA governing organization. Is there anything specific you hope to accomplish as a board member? It goes back to making a difference. I want to support the wide range of businesses and employees, and industry opportunities that we face going forward. I want to leverage my experience along with the support and expertise of the other board members to do the right thing and leave a positive and strong future for the AEA. q avionics news * august 2018 53http://www.elliottaviation.com
