version. Equipment pricing includes the G3X Touch display,
install kit, ADAHRS,
magnetometer and
temperature probe. The
G3X Touch's displays
may be oriented in
portrait or landscape,
allowing multiple panel
configurations. Synthetic
vision comes standard
Garmin's G3X Touch
on all G3X Touch
displays, along with
vertical navigation, wireless connectivity, primary engine
instrumentation and many more features.
The new GPS 175 and GNX 375 are 2-inch-high standalone IFR-certified WAAS GPS moving-map navigators
featuring a full-color touchscreen interface and starting at
$4,995. The GNX 375 does everything the GPS 175 does but
adds ADS-B Out and dual-link ADS-B In traffic and weather
via its built-in transponder. The two units are designed to
replace earlier-generation products, including the Garmin
GPS 150/155 and the Apollo/Garmin GX 50/55 series, plus
the BendixKing KLN 89/90/94 navigators.
Also new for 2019 are the GTX 335D and GTX 345D
Diversity ADS-B transponders. "Diversity" refers to using
two antennas mounted on the top and bottom of the aircraft
to send and receive ADS-B data, minimizing blocked
signals. Both transponders offer ADS-B Out compliance
while the GTX 345 also supports ADS-B In traffic and
weather for display on compatible devices. Remote-mount
versions are also available. The GTX 335D and GTX 345D
carry a list price of $6,495 and $7,995, respectively.

Genesys Aerosystems
Genesys Aerosystems' avionics products include synthetic
vision with three-dimensional highway-in-the-sky navigation
for fixed-wing aircraft and rotorcraft - EFIS systems
formerly marketed by Chelton Systems. They also offer a
digital air-data and solid-state attitude/heading reference
system (ADAHRS) employing micro-electro-mechanical

system technology, plus the complete line of S-TEC
autopilots and related equipment for piston singles and
business jets.
At the 2019 AEA Convention, the company announced
it has earned STC certification and TSO compliance
for an IFR-certified Helicopter Stability Augmentation
System (HeliSAS) designed for legacy Part 29 twinengine helicopters. The new IFR HeliSAS is based on the
company's VFR-only HeliSAS, which already is approved
on Bell, Eurocopter and Robinson rotorcraft, but the new
IFR-approved system uses more robust hardware and
achieves greater redundancy, according to the company, for
larger helicopters. HeliSAS IFR is designed for two-axis
(pitch and roll) autopilot configuration in dual-pilot IFR
operations and three axis (pitch, roll and yaw) for singlepilot IFR operations.
Features of the lightweight - less than 35 pounds installed
- IFR HeliSAS include automatic recovery to near-level
flight attitude at all airspeeds, altitude-command, preselect
and altitude-hold functions, and simplified installation
requiring no series actuators, feel springs or magnetic
brakes. The IFR HeliSAS is already flying aboard an Airbus
Helicopters EC-145e. The two-axis HeliSAS IFR autopilot
system for Part 29 helicopters is priced at $186,475 (not
including installation) and the three-axis HeliSAS IFR for
single-pilot operations is priced at $211,375 (not including
installation).
Meanwhile, the company's S-TEC 3100 digital autopilot
is now covered by supplemental type certificates allowing
installation on more than 100 different aircraft models. And
more than 1,000 copies of the VFR-only HeliSAS have been
delivered worldwide.
