Rest assured, that's not a problem with SKYTRAC's
Certus solutions. According to Van der Heul, airframe
size is not a limiter for installations.
" Because the Iridium Certus satellites are in lowEarth orbit, we don't need a big antenna or a powerful
transceiver to send and receive signals, " Van der Heul
said. " SKYTRAC is already working with business,
commercial, and military operators using a variety of
aircraft and helicopters ranging from Robinson R44s
up to Boeing 747s. If there's a requirement for global
Iridium connectivity, then we can make it work on their

While the system was just introduced, he noted that
SKYTRAC has been in discussion with its current
Iridium customer base about the new terminals.
