Digitizing your maintenance manual. This
highlights the need for training on your computer
systems and software, as applicable to the repair
station's maintenance (including inspection),
preventative maintenance, and alteration systems
and procedures.
*	 And refresher training on your facility security.
You should also consider recurrent maintenance training
to ensure that a repair station employee remains capable
of properly performing the assigned job, and to make
sure that when the work does return, they are efficient in
performing their tasks.
As you are aware, the AEA is the preferred training
provider for aircraft electronics professionals. The
association works together with industry and educators to
develop the best tools for advanced technology training
and business operations. While the AEA has rescheduled
its face-to-face classes for later this year due to COVID*	

19, there is a long list of web-based training that is
readily available to the membership. In addition to the
on-demand online training, the AEA will host several
webinars on safety and regulatory topics throughout the
spring and summer months (mid-April through mid-July).

details about these members-only webinars.
And finally, there are a significant number of AEA
associate members (avionics manufacturers) that are
offering product-specific training. If you are an approved
dealer, you have likely already been notified of these OEMdesigned remote training opportunities. You also can find a
list of those OEM training courses on the AEA website at
AEA.net/training/presentations with a member login.
While it is never desirable to not be able to service
aircraft or equipment, this is the perfect time to leverage
downtime and catch up on deferred maintenance, internal
audits, and training.
