video. We can see their video usage and their latency, so
we can see their performance."
He explained that Honeywell could work proactively
with the flight department to adjust the aircraft's data
usage so it doesn't exceed the contracted bandwidth and
incur overcharges or a drop in service quality.
"We can go in and change the video settings so they can
continue to watch that same video content," Peterson said.
"To ensure we don't overdraw on the limits, we can adjust
the frame rates on the video. They can still have what they
want and not have to worry about exceeding the budget."

Peterson shared a story of one customer who was
paying about $45,000 a month for their chosen level of
data service. Honeywell's team used the Forge analytics
to reshape their traffic use and reconfigure their cabin
network services to give them the solutions they wanted
at dramatic savings.
"We gave them much better service with lower
latency and saved them $26,000 a month in services,"
he said. "They never saw a change in the in-passenger
experience, and they're grateful to us."
